Upgrading Meridian vaults

When you install a Meridian upgrade, you must manually upgrade the vaults before they can be opened by the Meridian clients.

Note    If upgrading from Meridian 2009 or higher, this task may be performed before upgrading the Meridian server software. Otherwise, it should be performed after upgrading.

To upgrade vaults:

  1. Confirm that a verified backup of the vaults exists.
  2. Open the Administrator tool from the Start menu.
  3. Click EDM Server in the left pane.
  4. On the Action menu, point to All Tasks, and then click Upgrade Vault Wizard. The Vault Upgrade Wizard appears.
  5. Click Next to display the Select Vaults page.
  6. Select the vaults to upgrade and click Next.
  7. Confirm that you want to upgrade the vaults that are listed, and click Finish. The upgrade process begins and displays the results when complete.
  8. Run the Vault Consistency Wizard as described in About the Vault Consistency Toolkit. If any serious errors are found, contact your BlueCielo ECM Solutions Solutions Partner or BlueCielo ECM Solutions Technical Support. If no serious errors are found, you may proceed with the server software upgrade.
